We're rounding the corner on 2025, wrapping up another fun year for the Santa Barbara Region Porsche Club. I hope you joined us at some events, met new enthusiasts, or reconnected with old friends. As we always say, it's not just the cars, it's the people. I've made great memories this year. I hope you have too.
Next year is already shaping up to be another busy one filled with Porsche adventures. The 2026 schedule should be available soon, maybe even in this issue. Join us at our monthly Cars & Coffee gatherings to catch the latest updates from Chair Lionel Neff and his Activities Committee.
October brought perfect weather for the return of our 45th Concours. Tara Konrath chaired a fantastic event at the Camarillo Ranch House, with nearly 50 entrants, beautiful awards, and an incredible lunch. She even entered her stunning 928 while running the show! Thank you to everyone who helped make it such a success (I chickened out and put my '69 911T in the display category!). Another highlight was our first-ever Alzheimer's fundraiser breakfast at Aloha Steakhouse in August. Over 35 members attended, raising about $10,000, thanks in part to the restaurant's generous donation and an extra $500 from PCA, arranged by Secretary Doreen Shin. Club elections are here again. Thanks to Webmaster Randy Fishwick, voting will be quick and easy online. The Board also reviewed bylaw updates, and I'd like to thank outgoing Treasurer Jim Brown for his service and thoughtful feedback.
I look forward to seeing you at our Annual Holiday Luncheon at Spanish Hills Country Club. Don't forget to bring a toy for Unity Shoppe!
